"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3/4 lb ground turkey
3/4 lb ground beef
1/3 cup dry seasoned bread crumbs
2 large egg whites
Cooking spray
3/4 cup water
3 Tbsp tomato paste (or one 6 oz can)
2 to 2 1/2 Tbsp dry sherry or Madiera wine
1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp black pepper
10 oz can Campbell's condensed French Onion Soup

Directions:
Directions:
Combine meats, bread crumbs and egg whites. Form into patties. I do many small ones - the recipe said to form into 6 patties.

Heat a large skillet (with a lid) sprayed with cooking spray. Brown patties on both sides then remove from the pan.

Stir in the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Add the patties and reduce the heat. Cover and simmer 10 minutes. Remove cover, flip patties, and simmer 10 more minutes until meat is done (165 degrees) and sauce thickens up.

Personal Notes:
Gosh, we make this at least once a year. Its great comfort food. I originally found it in Cooking Light Magazine, and that called for only 3 Tbsp tomato paste. I use the whole can because I love the thickness. The dry sherry really is the "ding". It really is worth using in this dish. We serve it with rice or noodles, to soak up the sauce, or just on their own.
