1 cup soft shortening, half butter
1 1/2 packed brown sugar
3 eggs
3 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp. cloves
1 cup seedless raisins
1 cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
heat oven to 375
Mix shortening, sugar, & eggs well
Measure flour after sifting, blend dry ingredients together.
blend in wet ingredients
mix in raisins and nuts
drop by rounded spoonfuls on a greased baking sheet. Bake 8 to 10 min
