15 oz can kidney beans, drained
15 oz can butter beans, drained
15 oz can lima beans, drained
28 oz can pork and beans, undrained
10 strips bacon - cut into 1" strips
4 cloves garlic, minced
4 medium onion, quartered and into thin rings
1/4 c vinegar
1/2 c brown sugar
1/2 tsp dry mustard

Directions:
Directions:
Brown bacon in large frying pan. Add garlic and onion - cook until bacon is almost crisp. Drain.
Add vinegar, Brown sugar and dry mustard. Simmer 15 minutes stirring often.

Mix together beans in a large bowl. Pour sauce over beans - mix well.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Put bean mixture in large dutch oven sprayed with cooking spray and bake uncovered for an hour.
The top should be brown and the beans should be thickened, but not dry.

Serve warm.

This makes a big batch, and I literally make it for almost every block party. It always gets eaten!
I got this recipe from Jeanette Davis, who was Marianne Hayden's good friend. Its very colorful and is a grown-up version of baked beans.
