3 eggs
1 cup margarine (2 cubes)
2 T cocoa
1 T vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup chocolate bits
2 1/2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup water
2 apples cored and grated (2 cups)
1tsp baking soda
1 tsp allspice (optional)
1 cup chopped nuts

Frosting:
3 T milk
1 1/2 to 2 cups powdered sugar
3 squares unsweetened chocolate (cocoa)
1 cube butter
vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Beat together eggs, sugar, margarine and water until fluffy. Sift dry ingredients together, add to creamed mixture and mix well. Fold in chocolate bits, nuts, apples and vanilla until evenly distributed.
Spoon into greased and floured loose bottom tube pan or 9x13" pan. Bake at 325º for 60 to 70 minutes. At this altitude it is better to bake at 350º for the allotted time.
