12 oz. vanilla wafers (chopped real fine) 2 cups flaked coconut 1 cup chopped nuts 2 cups sugar 6 eggs ½ cup milk 2 sticks butter
Topping: ¾ cup sugar ¾ cup light cream 5 T butter
Mix dry ingredients. Add eggs and butter. Mix again. Pour into a tube pan or 2 loaf pans that have been greased and floured. Bake 1 ½ hours at 300. Let cool 5 min. Turn onto plate. Cover with topping immediately.
Topping: Mix and bring to boil. Boil for 5 min. Spoon over hot cake
