Ingredients:  
1-2 pound chuck roast or stew meat
cup flour
tsp each of thyme, pepper, and rosemary
tsp each of onion powder and garlic salt
2 Tbsp shortening or cooking oil
1 package of gravy mix, your choice
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2 cups chicken broth
to one cup each of carrots and potatoes, optional celery and peas, beans, etc.

Directions:
Directions:
Coat meat in flour and brown on med high heat in shortening.

Place all other ingredients in crock pot and stir, add browned meat.

Cook on high for 4 hours or 6 hours on low.
