1 cup sugar
stick margarine or butter
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
3 tbsp whisky
4 cups flour
tsp baking soda
tsp baking powder
1 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cream well the sugar and margarine or butter. Add well-beaten eggs, vanilla and whisky. Then add dry ingredients or milk. Mix well and gradually add more flour. Just enough to handle dough. Roll out onto board to inch thickness. Cut into strips. Make a slit in each strip and pull one end through to make a knot. Deep fry in hot lard. Drain on paper towel. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
