Directions:
Dissolve yeast in 1/2 c warm water with 2 tsp sugar.

Warm milk and add the rest of the ingredients and mix well. Add yeast. Add flour about 1 cup at a time, mixing until it is too stiff, then kneading until it isn't sticky anyore.

Let rise until doubled, twice.

Roll out and generously butter the dough. Sprinkle with a heavy layer of brown sugar, cinnamon and raisins(if desired). Roll up, slice and place on well greased baking pans. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise until doubled.

Bake at 350º until nicely browned. Turn out immediately onto parchment paper or foil and let cool.

(Dave's favorite part is eating the sugar mixture that slides off them)

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
When I was a kid, all the Aunts, Uncles and cousins had family picnics at Saskatoon Lake in the summer. Each Aunt had their usual contribution, my Mom's was the potato salad and Aunt Margaret's was her cinnamon buns. A few years ago I changed computers and for some reason, this recipe didn't transfer over. Fortunately I was able to contact my cousins and get the recipe from them.
Dave's favorite part is eating the sugar the slides off them when removed from the oven.
