2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
tsp. salt
1 cups sugar
3 eggs
3 Tbsp. butter or shortening
3/4 cup scalded milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Topping:
1 squares butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup can evaporated milk (not condensed)
1 cups nuts, pecan or walnuts, chopped small
2 Tbsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Blend all cake ingredients. Bake 350 in a 9 x 13 greased cake pan for 30 minutes. Cream together topping; spread mixture on top of the baked caked. Broil in the oven, under the broiler until becomes golden. Serve with ice cream.
