36-38 maraschino cherries, drained

Chocolate dough:
1 cup flour
cup unsweetened cocoa
tsp salt
tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla

Frosting:
1 cup choc chips
cup sweetened condensed milk
tsp salt
1 to 1.5 tsp maraschino cherry juice

Directions:
Directions:
For dough: cream butter, sugar, egg and vanilla until light and fluffy. Gradually add dry ingredients until dough is formed. Shape chocolate dough into 1 inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Put one cherry in each ball. Prepare frosting in double boiler over low heat immediately. Frost each cherry by spreading tsp over each cherry. Bake frosted cookies at 350 deg for 8-10 min or until puffy. Store tightly covered.
