6 large potatoes
6 slices of bacon
½ cup chopped onion
2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
1 cup water
½ cup apple cider vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
Boil potatoes whole with the skin on. Once done, peel and slice the potatoes. In a large skillet or pot, fry the bacon until crisp. Remove bacon but reserve a small amount of the bacon grease. In the bacon grease, fry the onions until they are soft. Stir sugar, flour, salt, and pepper into the softened onions. Gradually stir in the water and vinegar. Boil for 1 minute then add the potatoes and crushed bacon into the mixture. Stir until all ingredients are mixed together. Simmer over low heat until ready to serve. Potatoes should simmer for at least 30 minutes to thoroughly blend all ingredients.
