¾ c. butter
1 ½ c. packed dark brown sugar (use ½ c. white sugar for softer cookies)
2 T. water
12 oz. semi- sweet chocolate chips
2 eggs
2 ½ c. flour
1 ¼ c. baking soda
½ salt
Green mint chips or waters

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in double boiler. Add chocolate bits & stir until nearly melted. Remove from heat & finish melting. Pour into mixing bowl and cool slightly. Add egg beating on high. Add second egg and beat well. Add dry ingredients. Scoop dough into balls using cookie dough scoop and place on cookie sheet to chill. Chill dough well.
Line cookie sheet with aluminum foil. Place dough balls 2 in apart on sheet. Bake 350 ºF for 12-13 min but NO longer. Remove from oven and immediately place mints on top of cookies. Allow mints to soften/melt and then spread around like frosting. Remove from cookie sheet and allow to cool completely.
