8 slices butter top bread, slightly stale
16 oz Monterey Jack shredded cheese
8 oz shredded mild cheddar
6 beaten eggs
2½ c milk
1 tbsp brown sugar
Dash paprika
1 small onion minced
½ tsp dry mustard
½ tsp salt
½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
¾ lb Virginia baked ham, shredded

Put bread on oven rack at 300º for a few minutes to make stale. Don’t toast. Cut bread into cubes. Mix together all ingredients except ham & bread. Spray 9 X 13 baking dish with Pam. Put ½ of bread and ham in dish. Pour ½ of egg mixture over top. Spread cheese over top evenly. Make a second layer. Cover, refrigerate over night. Bake at 325º for 1 hour or until firm. Let sit before cutting.
