Butter sides of heavy 3 qt. saucepan. In it combine 2 cups white sugar, 1 cup of brown sugar, and 1 cup evaporated milk. Add ¼ cup dark or light corn syrup, pinch of salt and 1 cup chopped pecans. Heat over medium heat stirring constantly till sugar dissolves and mixture boils. Then cook to soft ball stage(236º) stirring. Remove from heat and cool to lukewarm 110º without stirring. Beat vigorously till fudge begins to lose its gloss and hold it’s shape. Turn out on buttered cookie sheet and knead until firm keeping hands well buttered. Shape into two eight inch rolls
1½ inch in diameter. Spread chopped pecans in foil and roll candy in the. Wrap rolls and chill until ready to use. Then slice.
