7# cucumbers
2 c. lime
2 gal. water
2 qt. vinegar
4 1/2# sugar
1 T. salt
1 T. celery seed
1 T. whole cloves
1 T. mixed pickling spice

Directions:
Directions:
Cut cucumbers in 1/4" sliced and cover with solution of water and lime which has been stirred well to dissolve lime. Soak 24 hrs. Rinse well and cover with fresh water and soak 3 hours. Drain. Heat vinegar, sugar, salt and spices (spices may be tied in a bag). Cover sliced and soak overnight. Then simmer all 40 minutes and can in jar. Green food coloring may be added to vinegar to make a dark green pickle.
