2 squares butter (can use 1 margarine and 1 butter)
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
1 pinch salt
1 T. Karo Syrup
3 small chocolate bars

Directions:
Directions:
Butter 9 x 12 pan

Cook butter, sugar, water, salt and Karo syrup until it smokes (282º)

Sprinkle almonds or chopped walnuts in the bottom of buttered pan. Pour candy mixture into the pan. When completely cool cover with melted chocolate. When the candy is set, break into pieces.
(3 small chocolate bars on top of the candy mixture when slightly cool)
