This is for one large or two small loaves.

1 1/4 c. warm water(105 to 115 degrees)
1pkg. active dry yeast
1 T. honey
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 T. marg. melted and cooled
3 1/2 c. flour
!/4 c. wheat germ

Directions:
Directions:
In large bowl place warm water, sprinkle with yeast.
Let stand 5 min.
Stir in honey, salt and butter.
Add 2 1/2 c. flour. Blend. beat 5min or until dough is elastic and pulls away from bowl.
Stir in wheat germ and 3/4 c. flour to make soft dough.
Turn onto floured surface.Knead 15 to 20 min until smooth and springy and soft bubble just below the surface.
Place dough in greased bowl turning once.
Cover and let stand 1 to 1 1/2 hrs.in warm place til doubled.Punch down and shape into round ball.
Grease tightly woven basket. Sprinkle with remaining flour.
Place shaped loaf in basket. Cover lightly. Let rise 45 min. Doubled.
Carefully turn risen loaf out onto greased baking sheet.
Pattern side up
Bake 375 for 35 to 45 min. til browned and hollow when tapped.

Use small round, oblong or square baskets..
