2-3 egg whites
1/2 to 3/4 C Sugar
1/8 t Salt
1/4 t Cream of tartar
1 t Vanilla

Optional: Can add nuts, chocolate chips, food coloring, sprinkle with colored sugar

Beat egg whites till stiff. Add sugar and rest of ingredients slowly.
Drop by spoonfuls onto parchment paper
Bake 250 for one hour or 300 for 25 min. Make sure they are light and dry.

I used this recipe to use up the left over egg whites from the christmas cookies to make these meringue cookies. My children thought they looked like cow flop thus the name.
