8 c chopped apricots
4½ c sugar
¾ c brown sugar
1 orange
1 c crushed pineapple
⅛ tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Wash, pit and chop 3 lbs of apricots. Measure 8 c chopped apricots. Place apricots, sugars and coarsely shredded orange rind and juice, pineapple and salt in a heavy kettle. Bring quickly to a boil, stiring until sugar is dissolved. Cook rapidly, stirring often, until 2 thick drops of syrup will run together on the side of a cold spoon. (about 30-35 min.) Ladle into sterile jars and seal.
