1 lb. ground beef
1 cup corn meal
1 cup milk
2 eggs, beaten
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. baking soda
1 can cream style corn
½ cup cooking oil
½ lb. grated Cheddar cheese
1 large onion, chopped
1 small can mild green chiles, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
- Brown ground meat with onion. Drain.
- Make batter of corn meal, eggs, milk, baking soda, corn, oil and chiles.
- Grease a 9 x 13 – inch pan and pour ½ the batter in pan. Sprinkle cooked meat and cheese evenly over batter. Pour remaining batter on tip evenly.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes (until cornbread is brown on top).
