1½ C butter (2 sticks butter- 1 stick Imperial margarine)
1 C. confectioners sugar
1 egg
½ tsp vanilla
2 C. flour + 4 tbsp
1 C. cornstartch

Directions:
Directions:
Mix butter and sugar until smooth. Add egg and vanilla mix well. Blend flour and corn starch together and slowly add to butter mixture until well mixed. Make tspful balls (I use small cookie scoop) put on greased cookie sheet (or use parchment paper). Make thumbprint (¼ tsp measuring spoon works great) and fill with jelly. Do not over fill or you will have filling all over. Bake 350º for 12 to 15 minutes. Bake on 2 shelves halfway through the time change shelves and rotate cookies sheets (makes them bake evenly). Cool then sprinkle with powdered sugar. (You can use any kind of jelly or jam.)
