2 12oz Ribeye steaks 11/2 inches
1 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
1 Tsp Kosher Salt
3/4 Tsp Ground Black Pepper
2 Tbsp Butter
2 Sprigs Fresh Thyme
2 Garlic Cloves smashed

Directions:
Directions:
1. Let Steaks rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.
2. Heat oil in large cast iron skillet over medium-high heat until oil is hot shimmering near smoking.
3. Pat Dry both sides of Steak with paper towel and Salt and Pepper both sides.
4. Place Steaks in skillet using metal tongs and press down until entire bottom surface is in contact with skillet.
5. Cook until browned about 3 minutes
6. Flip Steaks and cook until steak is about 10 degrees away from desired doneness, about
3 to 4 minutes.
7. Reduce heat to medium-low, add Butter, Garlic and Thyme to Skillet, tilt and spoon butter and juices over Steaks. Temperature will rise about 5 degrees in 1 minute.
8. Remove Steaks let rest 30 minutes before slicing.
