4 Tbs. vegetable oil
1 large onion, diced
2 Tbs. fresh basil, chopped, divided
5 garlic cloves, crushed
1 Tbs. fresh oregano, chopped
3 (28 oz.) cans plum tomatoes
3 (28 oz.) cans crushed tomatoes
2½ c. water
6 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 lb. sweet Italian sausage links
1 lb. uncooked meatballs

Directions:
Directions:
1. Heat oil in large stockpot, 30 seconds. Add onion and saute, 3 minutes. Add 1 Tbs. basil, garlic, and oregano. Saute 1 minute.
2. Add tomatoes, water, sugar, and salt. Bring sauce to a boil, reduce heat to simmer and add sausages and meatballs.
3. Simmer 3-4 hours, stirring occasionally.
4. Remove meats to a platter. Stir in remaining basil.
5. Taste and add salt, if needed.

Serve with pasta, adding meats and top with Parmesan.
