1-1 1/2 # boneless round steak, trimmed of all fat
6 T. soy sauce
2 T. onion
2 T. sherry
4 t. cornstarch
2 t. sugar
1 t. ginger
1/4 c. peanut oil
2 large green peppers, cut into 1" strips
Hot cooked rice
Soy Sauce (optional)

Partially freeze steak. Slice across grain into 2 x 1/4" strips and set aside.
Combine next 6 ingredients in a shallow container. Mix well. Add steak. Cover and refrigerate 1 to 4 hours.
Pour oil aroud top of preheated wok-coating sides (we use electric skillet). Allow to heat at med-high (325º) for 1 minute. Add steak mix. Stir fry for 2 or 3 minutes or until browned. Reduce heat to low (225º).
Stir in green peppers. Cook 5 minutes stirring constantly until crisp and tender.
Serve over rice with additional soy sauce, if desired.
