with Lemon Glaze

1/2 c butter, melted
3/4 c flour
2 eggs, large
2 Tbsp lemon zest
2 Tbsp lemon juice
3/4 c granulated sugar
1/4 tsp sea salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Grease an 8×8 inch baking dish with butter and set aside.
(Use Double recipe for 9x13 pan if you prefer)
Zest and juice three large lemons and set aside.
In the bowl of an electric mixture fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the softened butter until creamy. Mix in flour, sugar, salt until just combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, lemon zest, and lemon juice until combined.
Pour it into the flour mixture and beat for 2 mins at medium speed until smooth and creamy.
Pour into baking dish and bake for 23-25 mins, should turn golden around the edges. Do not overbake or the bars will dry.
Allow to cool completely before glazing.
Spread 1/2 the glaze over the brownies with a rubber spatula and let glaze set.
Spread the remaining 1/2 the glaze over the bars, and let it set.
Cut into small bars and serve.

8 tsp lemon zest
1 rounded cup powdered sugar
4 Tbsp lemon juice
1 Tbsp butter, softened (Optional)

Sift powdered sugar (or place in bowl and mix with whisk to break up any lumps). Add a little lemon juice (and butter if using) and mix. Add remaining lemon juice a little at a time mixing well after each addition.
