2 lbs. ground beef
1 lb. ground pork
2 large eggs
1 cup freshly grated Romano cheese
1 ½ Tbsp. chopped parsley
2 or 3 small garlic clove, peeled and minced
Salt and pepper to taste
2 cups bread crumbs
2 cups lukewarm water
1 cup canola oil for cooking

Mix ground beef and ground pork together. Add eggs, cheese, parsley, garlic, salt and pepper. Using your hands, blend ingredients together. Blend bread crumbs into meat mixture. Slowly add water. 1 cup at a time, into the mixture is quite moist. To make meatballs more firm, take out some of the luke warm water. Roll into golf sized balls. Heat oil in a large sauté pan. When oil is very hot but not smoking, sauté meatballs. When bottom half of meatball is brown and slightly crisp, turn and cook top half. Keep rotating until the whole meatball is brown and crisp. Remove from heat and drain on paper towel. Serve with gravy or marinara sauce. (pg. 39 and 40)

Sliced Italian loaf
Mozzarella and Romano cheese

Directions:
Heat meatballs in gravy on stove. Use 3-4 meatballs serve on Italian bread. Slice the meatballs in half before putting on bread. Add as much mozzarella and Romano cheese. Heat in oven or toaster oven to melt cheese.
