When you want to dress up desserts without adding a lot of calories or cost, make a delicious whipped topping with instant non-fat dry milk.
1/3 cup water
1/2 cup instant non-fat dry milk
1 T lemon juice
1/4 cup sugar

Directions:
Directions:
In a small mixing bowl place water. Add non-fat dry milk. Beat with rotary beater or electric beater at high speed until mixture stands in soft peaks. Add lemon juice. Continue beating until quite firm; add sugar. Chill and use as topping on fruit, gelatin desserts.

Shortcake, pudding or other desserts that blend with the toppings delicate lemon flavor. This topping can also be folded into cooked salad dressings for fruit salads. Use in salad and dessert recipes for new flavor and texture lightness.
