3/4 cup uncooked rice
1 tsp salt
4 cups milk
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp almond extract
2 cups heavy cream whipped or 2 pkg dessert toppings whipped
Raspberry or Cherry

Raspberry Sauce:
1 cup frozen strawberries
2 1/2 T cornstarch
Sugar to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Cook rice and salt in milk over boiling water until rice is soft and mixture is thick, about 1 1/2 hours. Add sugar and almond extract. Chill, then stir in whipped cream and serve with sauce.

Raspberry Sauce:
Add 1 cup water to 1 package frozen raspberries and bring to boil. Put through seive and extract all juice. Add enough water to make 2 1/2 cups juice. Combine a little cold water with 2 1/2 T cornstarch, then stir into juice and cook and stir until mixture is thick and clear. Sweeten to taste, chill
