2 cups diced, peeled apples
1 ¾ cup currants
1 ½ cup seeded raisins (chopped)
1 ½ cup sultana raisins
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup candied mixed peel
½ cup blanched almonds (chopped)
Grated rind of 1 orange
Juice of 2 large lemons
1 tsp. cinnamon
¾ tsp. nutmeg
½ tsp. cloves
¼ tsp. all spice
45 ml brandy
¼ cup melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
Mix fruit and spices, stir in brandy and butter. Cover and refrigerate. Stir twice a day for 3 days. Can be stored in fridge for 3 weeks. Freezes well. Fill empty baked pie shells or serve over ice cream.
