1 c. margarine/butter, softened
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1½ c. powdered sugar
2½ c. flour
1 tsp. cream of tartar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix thoroughly margarine, powdered sugar, egg, vanilla. Blend in flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar.
Cover in plastic wrap or air tight container.
Refrigerate for 1-2 days.
Divide dough in half. Roll out to desired thickness on flour covered cutting board/table.
Cut out desired shapes.
Place on lightly greased baking sheet.
Bake at 375º for 7-8 minutes or until light brown on top.

Can sprinkle with colored sugar prior to baking
