3 1/2 cups warm water
1 1/2 cups non-fat dry milk
1/2 cup dairy buttermilk

Directions:

In a large bowl combine warm water with 1 1/2 cups non-fat dry milk and blend very well with 1/2 cup dairy buttermilk. Cover bowl with waxed paper, then with clean dry towel, and allow to stand in warm room until clabbered (overnight). Stir until smooth. Store in covered jar in refrigerator to use as beverage or in recipes calling for buttermilk, Use last 1/2 cup of butter milk as starter for new batch.
