6 T butter, softened
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup brown sugar
2 T all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup flaked coconut
1/2 cup coarsely chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together butter, 1/4 cup sugar, and 1/4 tsp salt. Stir in 1 cup flour. Pat onto bottom of 9x9x2 inch pan.
Bake at 350 for 15 minutes until lightly browned.
Meanwhile, beat eggs slightly, add vanilla. Gradually add brown sugar, beating just till blended. Add 2 T flour and 1/2 tsp salt. Stir in coconut and nuts. Spread over baked layer. Bake 20 minutes longer or till wooden pick comes out clean. Cool, cut in diamonds.
