• 1 cup House-Autry Medium White (Plain) Corn Meal
• 1/2 cup self rising flour
• 1 1/4 to 1 3/4 cups warm water
• 1/2 tsp salt
• Vegetable oil

Directions:
Directions:
Combine corn meal, flour, water and salt; stir to make a batter. Pour 1/4-inch of oil into a 10-inch skillet and place over medium high heat. When the oil is hot, drop in batter by the tablespoonful. Fry each side of patty until crispy and well browned, 3-5 minutes total. Drain on a paper towel and serve. Makes about 20 cornbread patties.
