Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2¼ cup flour (It’s very important to measure the flour correctly. Too much or too little flour can change the consistency of the cookie.)
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda (Make sure your baking soda is no more than 3 months old -using old baking soda will make the cookies flat.)
1 cup Crisco
½ cup sugar
1 cup light brown sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 eggs
1 bag M&Ms (⅔ will be combined in the batter; set aside the remaining ⅓ to place on top of cookies as soon as they come out the oven)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º
1. Whisk together the flour, salt, and baking soda in a medium-size bowl. Set aside.
2. In a large bowl, using an electric or stand mixer, cream together the Crisco, sugar, light brown sugar, and vanilla until combined.
3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing between each egg.
4. Add flour mixture and mix until just combined. DO NOT OVERMIX!
5. Stir in M&Ms until combined.
6. Spoon dough into balls about 2 tablespoons each and place onto baking sheet.
7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown around the edges.
8. Immediately after taking cookies out of the oven, place additional 4-5 M&Ms on top of cookies and let cool for 5 minutes on baking sheet before moving them to a wire rack.

Personal Notes:
This is another recipe given to me by Kim. I've baked many, many dozen of this cookie in many M&M color combinations. Over the years, I often found myself in Lammes Candies buying the perfect color combination for which ever themed birthday party or soccer team event required these awesome cookies. I always referred to these as my "no fail" cookie recipe, as I never had a batch not turn out great. Laurie tried the recipe and assured me that this recipe could indeed fail. LOL! Must have been old baking soda. : )
