¾ c. butter flavored Crisco
1 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
¼ c. molasses
2 c. flour, sifted
¼ tsp. salt
½ tsp. cloves
2 tsp. baking soda (level)
1 tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp. ginger

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream shortening and sugar.
2. Add egg and molasses and beat well.
3. Sift dry ingredients together.
4. Add to sugar mixture and mix well.
5. Roll in small balls and dip in sugar.
6. Bake 15 minutes at 325º.
7. Dip in sugar again while warm.
