Carrot Cake Frosting

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
4 Tbsp softened butter
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
3 cups powdered sugar. If it's not at good spreading consistency add an additional 1/2 cup of powdered sugar.
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Beat butter and cream cheese until smooth. Gradually stir in powdered sugar, vanilla and salt until spreading consistency

Tip: Smear a bit of frosting in the center of cake plate before placing the first cake layer on the plate. This will help to hold it in place. Frost the top of the first layer. Place second layer down. Frost the top of the cake. Finish up with the sides.

Avoid spreading the frosting too hard. A light touch is best or you will have cake crumbs all over the frosting.
