2 lbs Lean ground beef
3 Tbs Soy Sauce
3 Bay Leaves
1 Tbs of Italian Seasoning - I use about half
2 (15 oz) cans diced tomatoes
2 (15 oz) cans tomato sauce
1 Yellow Onion - diced
3 Cups water - I use 1/2 beef broth and 1/2 water
3 Cloves chopped garlic - I cheat and use diced garlic in a jar
2 Cups uncooked elbow macaroni
Two dashes of each - onion powder, garlic powder and salt

Optional: Mild cheddar or Colby Jack

Brown ground beef, break up meat while sautéing.
Drain
Add onions and garlic, sauté until tender.
Add water/beef broth, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian Seasoning, Bay Leaves, soy sauce and seasonings.
Cook covered 15 - 20 minutes
Add elbow macaroni, stir well, return lid and simmer for 30 minutes.
Turn off heat, remove bay leaves.
Allow mixture to sit about 30 minutes before serving.

We usually sprinkle Colby Jack Cheese on top before eating.
