1kg white fish like cod
2 medium potatoes
1 heaped tsp crushed ginger/garlic
2 tbsp crushed, green chillies
Panko breadcrumbs
1/2 bunch chopped coriander
1 level tsp salt,
1 level tsp thyme
1 tsp black pepper
1 egg +1 for eggwash

Method
1 Boil potatoes and allow to cool

2 Steam fish and allow to cool Sprinkle some lemon juice over fish and then mash with potatoes.
Combine with all the rest of the ingredients

3 Roll into little balls and flatten
Dust with mixture of breadcrumbs & flour.
Pan fry with a little oil.
*Do not deep fry fish cakes You can spray with olive oil or Pam and bake in oven

4 Serve on its own as an entree, in a sandwich or accompaniment to your meal. You can halve above recipe
