Personal Notes:
My Nana, a devoted Hadassah Life Member, was a wonderful baker. She spread the love of baking to her daughter (my mother) and to me. We thought that she had never written down any of her recipes, but after I lost my mother, I found a stack of my Nana's handwritten recipe cards. Ingredients were listed with only cursory instructions. I've made a project of trying these recipes and "filling in the blanks" on instructions. My daughters, and now my young grandchildren, also love to bake. Sharing recipes from my Nana and my mother with them keeps their memories alive.
