Notes: The first time I made this cake was for the chocolate lover, Kandace's wedding. My cousin's wife Frances decorated it with chocolate roses and leaves. Since then, it has been made for every wedding, baptism, graduation and many birthdays. It is the most requested cake in my recipe collection and originated in a Canadian Living magazine special in May/June 1988
