2 cups flour
¾ cup shortening
1 teaspoon salt
6 tablespoons cold water

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450º
Measure flour and salt into bowl; add shortening; blend with fingers until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add cold water and mix gently with spoon or fork. Roll half the dough on a floured surface until a little larger than piepan. Place crust in pan, but do not trim. Fill as directed in recipe. Roll out remainder of dough, pierce with knife several places, and place over filling. Trim excess dough and pinch to seal.
