Ingredients:
ANY WINTER SQUASH - ACORN, BUTTERNUT, HUBBARD, ETC.
BUTTER
SALT
PEPPER
BROWN SUGAR

Directions:
Directions:
Cut squash in half and place cut side down on baking pan or casserole dish. I like to put a pastry sheet under mine to minimize the messiness.

When fork soft in the thickest area, remove from oven and let cool enough to handle them. With a spoon, scoop out flesh and transfer to a medium sized bowl.

The amount of butter, sugar, salt and pepper will depend on the size of squash and your personal taste.

The squash can be covered with foil before baking and baked cut side up, but it will retain all of its moisture and be thinner.
