Directions:
Make your favorite brownie recipe. Mine is usually whatever mix is cheapest but, I prefer milk chocolate varieties.
Grease a 6 (or more) cup muffin tin and distribute the dough in the cups. I recommend lining the bottom of the tin molds to make it easier to get out. You could use pretty or fancy paper muffin liners.
Bake as directed. When you take take them out of the oven, use a second muffin tin and put directly on the baked brownie cupcakes. Press down and let set until cooled.
When it is time to serve the sundaes, remove the top. Remove brownie cups from pan. Fill the hole with your favorite ice cream. Decorate with warmed hot fudge,, fruit, whipped cream, cherries, nuts - whatever pleases you.

Notes: I have served warm brownies with ice cream and all the goodies for years. This is just a fun twist. Everyone seems to like that more than cream pie or fancy cake - unless you put ice cream on them.. It is a whole lot easier than a pie or cake.
What is wrong with this whole idea? When I began the original recipe book, I couldn't imagine anything better that a good Granny Hutch pie. It was well worth the effort that it took to make them. Now I'm using easier and faster recipes a lot. Not only that, but my guests seem to prefer lighter desserts or none at all. How disappointing is that?
