1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
2 2/3 cups sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 cup milk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

Topping:
2 lbs. Ricotta cheese
4 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
2 Tbsp. flour
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter. Add sugar gradually and cream thoroughly. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Stir in sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk. Pour into a greased 9 x 13 x 2 pan. In a separate bowl, mix 2 lbs. ricotta cheese, 4 eggs, 1/2 cup sugar, 2 tbsp. flour, 2 tbsp. lemon juice and 1 tsp vanilla. Pour mixture on top of the unbaked cake. Bake for 1 hour in a 350ºF oven. Cool in pan.
