Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 quart (32 oz) milk, preferably whole milk, but 2% will work
1/2 cup powdered milk
1/2 cup yogurt

Directions:
Directions:
Pour milk in container large enough to hold the milk, yogurt, and powdered milk (but don't add the yogurt and powdered milk yet); put a large spoon in the container. Microwave 6 minutes, 30 seconds on high. Remove container from microwave, and clear the skin from the top of the milk.
Return container to microwave, cook on high for 2 minutes and 20 seconds. Stir and check temperature. Continue to cook in microwave on high until milk reached 190 degrees. When the milk has reached 190 degrees, stir again and let cool until milk cools to 110 degrees. You may speed the process by putting the milk container in a pot of cool water, or water with ice cubes.
Add 1/2 cup powdered milk and 1/2 cup yogurt and mix.
Check temperature of mixture. Microwave on high for 3 1/2 seconds for each degree below 110. When 110 degrees has been reached, keep the yogurt warm with heating pad wrapped around container, or by a small machine that keeps the yogurt warm, or put in an over with the light on. Leave yogurt working for 12 hours.
(The time suggested for yogurt to work varies from 5-12 hours. I think 12 hours is way too long.)
