1 cup butter
1 tsp. vanilla
⅓ cup powdered sugar
2 cups sugar
2-3 oz. whiskey
⅓ chopped nuts
4 eggs
1 cup milk
3 cups flour
⅔ cup chopped nuts
1 tsp. baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, add eggs, 1 at a time, and beat well after each one.
Add sifted flour and baking powder, alternating with the milk, then the vanilla, and whiskey.
Fold in the chopped nuts.
Pour batter into well greased and floured tube pan, mix together ⅓ cup powdered sugar and ⅓ cup chopped nuts and put on top of the cake before baking.
Bake350º for about 1 hr.
Allow to stand 5 min. then turn out and cool.
