3/4 C butter flavored shortening
1 1/2 T vanilla extract
1 1/4 C brown sugar
1 egg
1 3/4 C flour
3/4 t baking soda
1 t salt
1 - 12 oz bag milk chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Combine all dry ingredients in bowl and set aside. Blend together shortening, vanilla and brown sugar in separate bowl. Add egg and mix until well blended.
3. Add dry ingredient mix a little at a time mixing after each addition.
4. Drop T sized portions onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until slightly golden. Allow them to cool on foil to keep cookies moist.

TIP: optional - add walnuts or pecans. Or Substitute White chocolate chips and add macadamia nuts
