Beef roast
Flour
Onion
Salt and pepper
Lard

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cut beef in pieces for serving.
2. Flour the pieces and place in a roasting pan.
3. Add salt and pepper to taste.
4. Slice and sprinkle onion over the top
5. Add water to cover partly and add a generous quantity of lard.
6. Cover the roaster and bake at 350° for 2 hours or more, until the water is almost gone, and the meat is well browned and tender.
