Dressing:
1 c. thick sour cream
1 c. Miracle Whip© salad dressing
1 pkg. “Ranch” salad dressing seasoning



Salad:
1 head crisped lettuce, shredded
1 bunch crisped celery, sliced
1 onion, in rings crisped
8 oz. pkg. frozen peas
4 oz. cheddar cheese, shredded
¼ lb. bacon

Directions:
Directions:
1. Bring peas to a boil, drain and chill.
2. Cut bacon into small pieces, fry and drain.
3. Blend ingredients for dressing.
4. In a salad bowl, layer half the lettuce, half the celery and the onion.
5. Spread with half the dressing. Do not mix.
6. Sprinkle with the peas.
7. Layer the other half of the lettuce and celery.
8. Spread with the rest of the dressing.
9. Sprinkle with the shredded cheese and top with the bacon pieces.
10. Refrigerate several hours or overnight.
11. Serve without stirring.

Chris McNiece - This is a real "retro" recipe. We ate it a lot back “in the day” but I have not seen its around much in recent years. I really don't remember where it originally came from. But, it's so good!
