Ingredients: 1 c brown sugar 1 c sugar 1/2 c butter 1/2 c oil 2 eggs 1 t soda 1 t salt 1 t baking powder 1 t vanilla 3 c flour 2 c milk chocolate chips 1/2 c nuts, chopped

Directions: BLEND THE OIL, BUTTER AND SUGARS TOGETHER UNTIL WELL BLENDED. BEAT IN EGGS UNTIL SMOOTH. PLACE FLOUR IN A BOWL AND ADD SODA, SALT, & BAKING POWDER. MIX THOROUGHLY. BEAT IN AS MUCH FLOUR AS YOU CAN WITH THE MIXER. THEN MIX WITH YOUR HANDS. ADD CHIPS AND NUTS.
I LIKE TO CHILL THE DOUGH FOR ABOUT 30 MINUTES BEFORE BAKING. DROP BALLS OF DOUGH ABOUT THE SIZE OF A PING PONG BALL ( I LIKE BIG COOKIES) ABOUT 2 “ APART ON PARCHMENT PAPER OR FOIL IN A LARGE COOKIE SHEET. MAKES ABOUT 4 DOZEN. MAKE THEM SMALLER FOR MORE COOKIES.
BAKE AT 350 DEGREES FOR 8 - 10 MINUTES (ALL OVENS ARE DIFFERENT SO TEST YOUR OVEN WITH THE FIRST PAN). ONE OF MY OVENS REQUIRES 11 MINUTES. MY CONVECTION OVEN TAKES LONGER THAN A REGULAR OVEN. TAKE THEM OUT WHEN THEY FIRST BEGIN TO BROWN BUT THE MIDDLE IS CLEARLY COOKED. THAT IS THE HARDEST THING FOR ME TO GET THEM COOKED JUST RIGHT. REGARDLESS, BOB LIKES THEM ANYWAY I MAKE THEM - USUALLY ABOUT ONCE A WEEK.
I FIND THAT THESE COOKIES CRYSTALIZE OR GET SUGARY IF KEPT IN A SEALED CONTAINER MORE THAN A FEW DAYS. I FREEZE THEM AND TAKE OUT A FEW AT A TIME. THEY ARE GREAT!
